BAKED BEAR OPENS
It’s the first Arizona location for the ice cream shop Baked Bear. They’ll be celebrating their grand opening in Scottsdale on Saturday, May 28, by giving away free ice cream sandwiches from 1-3 p.m., 7366 E. Shea Blvd.
The Baked Bear features made-to-order ice cream sandwiches. Original cookie recipes are baked from scratch and served fresh daily with homemade ice cream.
“The positive response we’ve already received about our opening in Scottsdale has been overwhelming,” said Rob Clark, co-owner of The Baked Bear Scottsdale. “People are hungry to have the homemade ice cream sandwiches they’ve come to love while on vacation, right here at home.”
Customers at the establishment, which started in San Diego, can choose between more than a dozen different ice cream flavors, and lots of varieties of cookies, including gluten free.
Ice cream sandwich enthusiasts can mix and match different flavors of cookies, brownies and even donuts to create their ideal sandwich and can finish their creation with one of 10 toppings.
The Baked Bear will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
