In just a couple of weeks, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess plans to open its new Sunset Beach 7,000 sq. ft. swimming pool and Sunset Splash Pad.  Complete with cabanas and over 100 guest rooms, the pool will feature 830 tons of white sand when it opens on Memorial Day weekend.   

For group events,the resort's expansion also includes the new Sunset Lawn and Copper Canyon Western town .

The expansion will push the total room count to 750 at the Scottsdale Princess.

Starting Memorial Day weekend, beach party goers will be treated to concerts from tribute bands.

— Friday, May 27 is Surf's Up (Beach Boys); 

— Saturday, May 28 is Coral Paradise (Jimmy Buffet) 

— Sunday, May 29, Desperado (The Eagles).

Fireworks on Saturday evenings and holiday weekends including Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.

Each weekend features the SplashRider X-treme, 424 ft. of waterslides, dive-in movies, mermaid sightings, water balloon fights, lagoon fishing derbies, Techno-Glo pool parties with live DJ, black lights fog and LED hula hoops.  

For adults needing a little R&R, the Scottsdale Princess offers new pampering poolside treatments from Well & Being Spa, exceptional cuisine paired with new specialty summer cocktails, and 36-holes of championship golf at the TPC Scottsdale.

The Princess’ Sip, Savor & Sand Package starts from $179 per night with a $50 daily credit for May 1 to Sept. 10.
