While staying at home is one option to stay cool in this triple-digit heat, why not head to a local resort instead?  Several area resorts are offering summer specials.  All have pools and great restaurants!  The Phoenician and Four Seasons Resort are featured below.  

THE PHOENICIAN

The Phoenician resort has 7 pools including the massive Mother-of-Pearl Pool!  Special rates through August 31st start at $169 per night. 

If you’re looking for an adult get-away, you might want to check out the Surge Bar featuring cocktails and food.  You can reserve an umbrella and two lounge chairs by the pool.  If you can’t get completely away from the office, high-speed Internet access is available.

For kids, The Phoenician offers the Surge Splash Pad featuring falling buckets of water, misting turtles and lady bugs, water cannons and a 165-foot water slide.  

In addition, you can sign up for the AquaMermaid School, for ages 7 and up, offering a core workout.  Friday-Sunday through September 5.  There are also iPad Scavenger Hunts.

The Phoenician also has what they call the Culinary Countdown Summer Dining Series where you can enjoy dinner at one of three restaurants.  J&G Steakhouse features a 3-course menu for $40; 3-course afternoon tea, Monday-Friday, for $30; and a 2-course menu at Relish Burger Bistro for $20.

FOUR SEASONS RESORT SCOTTSDALE AT TROON NORTH
